The wax room is the smallest room in the workshop, three metres by four, with a north window. We carve here because the light from the north does not move during the day, and a wax model must look the same at eleven as it does at four.
The wax we use is a green carving wax from a single house in Switzerland. They ship us four blocks a year. We have never asked them to send more, and they have never offered.
